Topographies of (dis)placement is an evolving photographic-textual series mapping memory onto physical locations through half-frame photography, stitched text, coordinates, and material intervention.

Pairing landscapes and urban sites with fragments of dialogue, recollection, and reverie, the works consider place as both physical geography and psychological terrain. Each location becomes a point of convergence between lived experience and its subsequent reconstruction, where what is remembered may diverge from what is materially present. The works occupy a liminal space between document and elegy, record and projection.

GPS coordinates function as archival markers and gestures against erasure, anchoring ephemeral experiences to specific geographic sites. Text is materially integrated into the photographic image through stitching, inscription, concealment, and fragmentation, allowing language to operate not simply as caption but as an additional layer of place-making.

Through walking, recording, revisiting, and repetition, the series draws upon psychogeographic practices to consider movement through space as a form of archival and mnemonic practice. Memory emerges as unstable and continually reconfigured through return: at once personal and collective, embodied and disembodied, located and displaced. The landscape becomes not merely the setting for memory but its active material and psychological terrain.

This archive is still in progress. Additional media will follow as the work unfolds.
